It’s the story of a guy who declares The End Of The F***ing World. It is the story of him becoming aware, of discovering that he no longer feels in his place and whose mind, like a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, is torn between two worlds – one where everything is formatted and another where everything is blown apart.
The first two tracks evoke this awareness and all the resulting nervousness and fury. This is the beginning of the fight first round, a fight with himself, against the world, others… or The Other.
With Better Call Pam, he takes the time to reflect. Who am I ? Where am I heading ? In what state am I ?
He’s walking on a thin wire, in balance, looking for a no man’s land that would allow him to escape this Manichean split.
And then we get Back. A moment of suspension and deliverance where our character thinks he has found his way… But the flayed sound of the guitar reminds us that this moment of fullness is only passing. He is overtaken by doubt.
Seconds out, round two.

Paris, May 10, 2023. The atmosphere was electrifying in the woody atmosphere of the
Hermitage studio. Guitarist Guillaume Vierset and his project EDGES were presenting
« The End of The F***ing world » on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Igloo label.
Scorched, bold tracks. The gig took off, spun, burned its wings against the spotlight, then
landed gently, like a bird on a branch, calmed by a series of successful loops.
